Analog to DVD Conversion
Imagine the horror. OK, so you're not Peter Jackson or Martin Scorcese or Jane
Campion, but you've spent years making cherished home documentaries. Your little
girl's
first steps and then, 20 years later, her valedictory address at university.
Your parents' 50th wedding anniversary, and your husband's parents' 50th wedding
anniversary (though the party wasn't nearly as good!). And then you dubbed everything
to an analog tape, saving these charming memories for posterity.
Now the sad news: your VCR tapes have been failing; dying a slow, painful death.
The colors are off, the sound is rough, and the tape doesn't play well on your
new VCR. And it's all downhill from there. And not in a good way.
We can help, in a number of ways! We can start by converting your analog tapes
and movies into digital video (DV) that we can burn to DVD that plays on your
television. The DVD format is almost indestructible, so with proper care, this
step alone will ensure your home movies will last a generation or more.
But we can do even better than that. If your VCR tape is already showing its
age, we can enhance faded colors and remove some of the hissing. We can edit
out the parts you don't like. We can add titles and transitions and a musical
score,
if
you'd
like us to bring all of our DV editing prowess to bear. It's a time-consuming
process, but our very first analog to DV customer described it as the best investment
she has ever made. She told us that these movies were rare time capsules and
cherished keepsakes, filled with the people she loved as they celebrate that
delightful milestones that give meaning to our lives.
